Is OpenView IPTV free?
Yes. The app is free to download and use. An optional premium unlocks multiple sources at once, recordings, reminders and backup.
Does OpenView provide channels or content?
No. OpenView is only a player. You bring your own M3U or Xtream playlist — it does not host or provide any channels or content.
Is OpenView IPTV on the Google Play Store?
Yes — you can install it from Google Play and get automatic updates. The direct APK download stays available for Fire TV and devices without the Play Store.
Which devices are supported?
Android TV, Fire TV, and Android phones and tablets running Android 7.1 or newer.
How do I install it on my TV?
On Android TV, install it straight from Google Play. On Fire TV, open the Downloader app and type openviewiptv.com/tv, or sideload the APK after allowing installation from unknown sources.
Which playlist formats are supported?
M3U and M3U8 playlist URLs, and Xtream Codes accounts.
Is my playlist private?
Yes. Your playlist stays on your device — OpenView never uploads or shares it.
Can I use one purchase on several devices?
Yes. Lifetime works on up to 5 devices and annual on up to 2. On Google Play, open the app on another device signed in with the same Google account and Premium turns on by itself. Outside Google Play, enter your activation code on each device.
Is there an iPhone or App Store version?
Not yet. OpenView IPTV is available for Android phones and tablets, Android TV and Google TV, and Fire TV.
