Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a legal agreement between you (“you”) and the independent developer of OpenView IPTV (“we”, “us”). By installing, accessing, or using the OpenView IPTV application (the “app”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

1. What the app is

OpenView IPTV is a media player for Android (TV and mobile). The app does not provide, host, distribute, or sell any channels, streams, movies, series, or other content. It works only as a player that you configure with your own sources (Xtream Codes lines or M3U/M3U8 playlists), obtained from third parties of your choosing. All content played through the app comes from sources configured solely by you. We have no knowledge of, control over, or responsibility for those sources or their content.

2. Licence to use

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on your devices, subject to these Terms. You may not:

• decompile, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code, except as permitted by law;
• resell, sublicense, rent, or redistribute the app or premium licences;
• circumvent, disable, or interfere with licensing, security, or update mechanisms;
• use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of third-party rights.

3. Acceptable use and content responsibility

You are solely responsible for the sources you add and the content you access. By using the app you represent that you have the legal right to access and play the content from the sources you configure, that you will not use the app to access or distribute pirated, unauthorized, or copyright-infringing content, and that you will comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction. PIN-based parental controls are provided; supervising content for minors is your responsibility.

4. Premium licences

The app offers free features and optional Premium features via Annual and Lifetime plans. Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as Merchant of Record; we never receive or store your card details. Applicable taxes (e.g. VAT) may be added on top of the listed price depending on your location. Your premium licence is bound to your device via an anonymous, non-reversible device identifier, not linked to your name or any account. Billing and refund conditions are described in our Payment & Refund Policy; a refund revokes the premium licence on the device.

5. Updates

Builds installed outside an official store may automatically check GitHub for new versions. We may provide updates or modifications at any time; some features may require the latest version.

6. Third-party services

The app may interact with Lemon Squeezy (payments), TMDB (optional posters/synopses/cast, toggleable in Settings), and GitHub (update checks for sideload builds). Use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

7. Privacy

The app collects no personal data, does not track what you watch, shows no ads, and uses no analytics or advertising SDKs. Your IPTV sources are stored only on your device. See our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, compatibility with all sources or devices, or the availability, legality, or quality of any content accessed through your sources.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR USE. Our total liability for any cause shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the liability. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; these apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the app, the sources you configure, or your breach of these Terms or of third-party rights.

11. Termination

These Terms remain in effect while you use the app. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you breach them. You may terminate at any time by uninstalling the app. Sections 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.

13. Changes

We may update these Terms; material changes will be reflected by a new date on this page. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance.
